E-GATE means Electric Great Ambassadors & Travellers in Europe
e-GATE, standing for Electric Grand & Great Ambassadors / Travellers in Europe, is a dynamic network of eco-friendly mobility enthusiasts. Our community, embracing electric cars, motorcycles and vans, is a blend of:
- Grand Ambassadors (GA): Advocates for sustainable travel and eco-conscious mobility.
- Great Travellers (GT): Explorers committed to environmentally friendly journeys across Europe.
We aim to establish a GA and GT duo in each European country, promoting a greener future through personal experience and advocacy.
e-GATE is more than a network ! It’s a movement of individuals, passionate about reducing their carbon footprint and revolutionizing travel.

In his search for sources of electricity, which sometimes resembled looking for water in a desert, he traversed vast wastelands, gravel roads amidst the bush, traditional villages, and large cities engulfed in chaos.
He was a keen observer not only of the lush African nature but also of the lives of its inhabitants, with whom he discussed their problems and threats associated with internal conflicts.
How did he cope with limited access to electricity, with African off-road conditions, and most importantly, how did the inhabitants of Africa react to seeing an electric car in places where there often is no electricity? Could he count on their help?
During my e-TOUR EUROPE a Czech car hit the back of my ZOE on the highway in Austria. Luckily the ZOE and my reflexes saved my life.
The Czech driver was drunk.
I came home with the car damaged and without security, my rear door no longer closed.
One month in the Renault garage and 10,800 euros in repairs. It's not a funny anecdote but a bad memory
The anecdote which is illustrated by the photos:
During my EUROPE e-tour on the Luxembourg-Paris stage I arrived first at the RENAULT FLINS factory where all the managers were waiting for me with the press.
My Diamond logo was hidden and I was asked why?
I responded with pleasure: “the sponsors who helped me have their advertising visible on the car, RENAULT did not want to help me. »
After these trips I put my ZOE at the DALI museum
My goal is to promote electric mobility by organizing V.E. events. and by offering mini-V.E. training courses.

Six times the VENDEE ENERGIE TOUR.

The nightmare of every electric car driver – running out of power on a foreign highway in the middle of the night! Not SO NICE – at first. Keeping calm always helps.
What happens when it happens? After 340,000 kilometers, more than 8 circumnavigations of the Earth, I got to experience something new yesterday on the Slovenian highway. My battery still showed a range of 15 kilometers, and the next charger was only 5 kilometers away. "Super easy," I thought, overtaking some trucks uphill just before the highway exit. Since I was fully loaded, I may have overwhelmed the systems and stressed my already older battery too much, and the last kWh in my battery was history.
"Drive carefully to the side of the road, the systems will be shut down," my display said. I could roll about 1,000 meters safely and then stood there on the emergency lane, doing what was now on my display – "Contact Tesla Service." A very friendly gentleman was immediately on the phone, already knew where I was, and that I only had 0.9% capacity left in a battery. He notified the Slovenian roadside assistance, which quickly arrived. The very friendly and competent gentlemen – after all, they had already towed the 2nd Tesla in their career – had to put the car on rollers since neutral was no longer possible. They safely brought us to the Supercharger, and after a few minutes, the systems came back to life, and we could continue our journey home relaxed.
I was totally positively surprised by the cost – only €120. Thanks to the gentlemen of AMZS. So even if it happens, NOTHING has happened.
For many years, I've been running a blog where I share my experiences. My vehicle is also the only one in the world that can always be tracked LIVE. You can see my location, mileage, current speed, and above all, my energy consumption – all very transparent. Because nothing is more convincing than transparency.

Chris and Julie left the rally start line at Goodwood Motor Circuit in the UK on July 16 and travelled 8,000 miles through 13 countries, charging their car 111 times for less than £100 in electricity costs to reach the Siberian finish line, just north of the border with Mongolia.
Their Nissan LEAF will now join other Mongol Rally entrants' vehicles on a cargo train back across the continent to Estonia, where Chris and Julie will continue the drive back to their hometown of Aberdeen. In total the pair will clock up more than 10,500 miles during the trip.
The mission of our association is to be the arm of GEVA as its satellite!
Imagine it like this:
If GEVA would represent the United Nations Organisation, then e-Gate would act like the UNO Peacekeepers!
GEVA = United Nations
E-GATE = Peacekeepers!
Why e-Gate?
The shift towards carbon-free mobility is a global necessity in a context of global warming that is as worrying as it is now tangible. Collective citizen actions have been carried out for a long time, led by national associations of electric vehicle users. Associations are almost all integrated into a global network called GEVA. Concrete events combining the forces of several countries are sometimes desirable but they are made complex and hazardous in the absence of an international structure to support them.
GEVA does not wish to have legal reality, so it is not GEVA which will be able to carry out such events. The best example of these difficulties in acting at an international level was the rise in electric vehicles at COP 26 with vehicles coming from various countries in continental Europe.
E-GATE must do what GEVA cannot do and in this e-GATE must be a satellite of GEVA, knowing that e-GATE is of European level while GEVA is of global level.
